Interventions
Individual support. Meaningful progress.
Alongside our curriculum, we offer a range of targeted interventions designed to support communication, emotional wellbeing, social interaction, confidence and personal development.
Interventions are carefully selected to reflect individual needs, informed by assessment and EHCP outcomes, and delivered by appropriately trained staff.
Our range of interventions includes, but is not limited to, the approaches outlined below. Provision is personalised and adapted to ensure that each child receives the support they need to belong, grow and thrive.

Attention Autism™
A structured, visually engaging approach that supports pupils in developing attention, listening, shared focus and participation in group activities through motivating and interactive experiences.

Intensive Interaction
A responsive, child-centred approach that develops early communication, social interaction and meaningful connections through shared attention, turn-taking and positive interactions.

Thrive
A developmental approach that helps pupils build emotional awareness, positive relationships and the skills needed to manage feelings and engage in learning. Support is tailored to each child’s social and emotional developmental needs.

LEGO® Based Therapy
A structured, play-based approach using collaborative LEGO® building activities to develop communication, teamwork, turn-taking, problem-solving and positive relationships with others.

Drawing and Talking Therapy
A gentle, child-centred therapeutic approach that uses drawing as a means of helping children explore and express thoughts and feelings that may be difficult to communicate through words alone.

A Personalised Approach
Interventions at Riverstone are not delivered as a one-size-fits-all programme. They are carefully matched to individual needs and may be delivered through individual sessions, small groups or integrated into everyday learning.
We work closely with families and relevant external professionals to ensure that support is consistent, meaningful and contributes to each child’s wider development.
